Understanding Lacan

Freud invented psychoanalysis. Jacques Lacan (1901-1981) allowed it not to disappear in deviations and compromises. His written work and his oral seminar constitute a decisive contribution to the analytic clinic and to universal knowledge. Lacan is a difficult author, hence the need to speak of him logically outside of controversy. This Understanding Lacan has a didactic aim: In what and how does Lacan reinvent psychoanalysis by giving a way out of Freud's impasses? To the genius of Freud responds the genius of Lacan.
